Can You SEE ME Now???... Blinded by THE WHITE...

One of the yucky things that winter brings is a FILTHY CAR... snow, sleet, sand, road salt and freezing temps wreak HAVOC on your cars appearance... covering it in a haze of gray to "salt white"... let's not even talk about the interior!

Yesterday one of the Moms I know (from school) was REAR-ENDED while waiting to make a turn into the Grocery Store Parking Lot... the person that hit her told the police officer that they could not SEE the taillights were lit up because of all the "road build up" on them... (let me mention at THIS point that the person that REAR-ENDED said Mom was 83 years old... a topic for another time)... anyway... the police officer DID NOT issue a TICKET (to the 83 year old)... but DID "strongly suggest" to my "Mom Friend" that she keep her taillights (and headlights) cleaned off... so she could/would be more visible to other drivers... GOOD ADVICE (I think)... but the 83 year old driver SHOULD have been ticketed...

I came straight home from school and took the advice given to my "Mom Friend" and cleaned off MY taillights AND headlights

So... take a walk around your car... would YOU be "visible" to "other drivers" (maybe an 83 year old driver that probably SHOULDN'T be driving anyway??? Sorry... I did say THAT topic was for another time!)...
Take a few extra minutes to clean off your taillights and headlights... better to be safe... than sorry!
We are under another WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY... forecasted for 6-8" of the WHITE STUFF by tomorrow morning.... so far... so good... NOTHING is falling from the sky... YET...

Sharing a Lunchpacking TIP...

Lilley-Kate takes her lunch to school everyday... one of the things she likes most is her "fancy napkins"... I typically will by a small pack of beverage napkins (at the local mass retailer or Dollar Store) relating to the SEASON or HOLIDAY for the month... and then include the napkins in her lunchbox every day... it's a fun and easy way to familiarize younger children with HOLIDAYS and Seasons...
