Can you BELIEVE this time NEXT FRIDAY The Jolly FatMan will be visiting???...


I tried REALLY REEEEEEAAAALLLY HARD to watch the FAREWELL to LARRY KING LIVE tonight... but after about 10 minutes I wanted to hang myself... so I switched over to REAL HOUSEWIVES OF BEVERLY HILLS... (wonder if BILL MAHR will catch any slack over his "little" slip-up???? And you SHOULDN'T be able to TELL YOU ARE READING A TELEPROMPTER "Mr. President")...


Our last snow melted pretty quickly (after a TROPICAL 40* weekend)... just in time... we got ANOTHER 9" earlier this week!...


When you go to the PO at NOON... You should KNOW there will be a LONG LINE... WHY were you surprised???


I have to wonder if I scavanged for some SWAG to REVIEW... could/would I get all my Christmas Shopping done???...


DON is HOTTER than LANE... but NOT HOTTER than ROGER...


I buy my own Christmas Gifts... give them to my husband... he wraps them... and I am TOTALLY HAPPY on Christmas morning...


Why is it that SOME PEOPLE look TOTALLY CUTE bundled up... and OTHERS... well... just look like the STAYPUFF guy off GHOSTBUSTERS???...


I get REALLY ANNOYED when Michael wears SHORTSLEEVES in the winter... I'm COLD!...


We think the CHRISTMAS LIGHTS outside look MAGICAL with SNOW covering them...


We can't hear the song DYNOMITE without wanting to SPIN THE DREIDL!!!...


MY BESTIE (who I miss SO MUCH!) is a FABULOUS card picker outer!!!! (see below)

8 MORE DAYS! HOPEFULLY the WEATHER will cooperate with me until then... I STILL have shopping to do!!! (UNLESS of course SOMEONE... ANYONE... wants to send ME some SWAG???)

Christmas morning this house is going to be ROCKIN' to SELENA, MIRANDA, and TAYLOR... and HOPEFULLY ANNIE too!


Green Tea at 9AM, 2PM, 4PM, and 10PM RELIGIOUSLY...


SNOW SNOW and more SNOW... and more expected until WEDNESDAY...


I've known him for over 1/2 of his life... and I am a bit FREAKED OUT by that!

I SPY a STAR... CUPCAKE... HEART... BEAR... BUTTERFLY... FLOWER... PANDA... and CANDY... and so did the TODDLER that was having a MELTDOWN at the PO this past week... who knew that Lilley-Kate's coat would make for a FUN distraction???

SWEET DREAMS...

I've been busy... catching up on some sewing projects...



SATIN PILLOWCASES... for promoting BEAUTY SLEEP (using satin pillowcases helps minimize facial wrinkling)... HEALTHY HAIR (using satin pillowcases helps keep long hair smooth and tangle free) and SWEET DREAMS (using satin pillowcases promotes sweet dreams... just because WHO doesn't have sweet dreams sleeping on a SATIN PILLOWCASE?)... Made for MY FAVORITE GIRL (who is growing her hair to her WAIST) and me... and our BESTIES!!!



The pattern is pretty "straight-forward"... you can use a premade pillowcase as a guide... OR use THIS GREAT TUTORIAL!!!



I cut them all out and sewed then "assembly line style"... and it went lickety split! I bought FLANNEL BACKED SATIN (at JoAnn's)... so the pillowcases "stay put" on the pillow... I'll definitley be making more of these!!!

Cyber Play...

Lilley-Kate had a VERY SPECIAL Play Date today... a CYBER PLAY DATE with a VERY SPECIAL FRIEND!!! They were so cute chatting it up and decided to play "Hair Salon" together... VERY SPECIAL FRIEND is quite the hair stylist and Lilley-Kate listened intently to the instructions and followed along... Styling first Julie's hair... and then Ruthie's hair...

The girls have already made a date for their next "Hair Salon Session" and Lilley-Kate is excitedly looking forward to it!

Nutcrackers and Gingerbread Houses...

This weekend was fun-filled and FRIGID (our high this weekend was on Saturday... 27*)... One of our Holiday Traditions is to go and see the Nutcracker Ballet put on by our local Regional Ballet company... it's such a fun afternoon...


We also had our "2nd Annual Gingerbread House Party" with The Hardts... This year Mrs. Hardt and I decorated our own houses (can I tell you I TOTALLY enjoyed that!)... the girls had a fun time... the house smelled like a candy shop!

A Change of Scenery...

Nothing "extravagant"... just a quick "change of scenery" trip out of town... it'll be nice to be in different yet familiar surroundings and visit with friends... do a little shopping... and HOPEFULLY see some pretty Fall foliage... Hope EVERYONE has a nice and relaxing weekend!

It's ALWAYS NICE....

To spend some time catching up with a DEAR FRIEND... (re)connecting... sharing... laughing... hearing about the latest "goings on"... although we don't get to chat as often as we would like... it's always a treat to answer the phone and hear your voice! Thanks for ringing me up today!!!

Trick Or Treat...

Tonight was Trick or Treat for our neighborhood/town... we had the Hardt Family over for a Pizza Party before we all headed out for some Halloween fun... it was a bit chilly... but all the girls were layered well... Lilley-Kate was a CHEERLEADER... Kylee was a FAIRY... and Lauren was a GROOVY GoGo GIRL...

The Hardts live in a rural area not far from us... so ToTing in a neighborhood is a treat... the girls had fun going from house to house...

the only dilemma was WHO would be the one to ring the doorbells... but they figured it out eventually...

So from 6:00-7:30 we made our way through the neighborhood... by the time we got home everyone was tuckered out... but lots of fun was had with good friends...


Tomorrow is Lilley-Kate's class party... and it is Dress Down Day at school (no uniforms)... so there will be more Halloween Fun ahead...

A YUMMY Birthday Celebration...

We had a little Birthday Celebration tonight... Lilley-Kate chose to have CHEESEBURGERS at Wendy's... so we had an "impromptu" little party with our friends (the Hardts)... it was a fun time... CHEESEBURGERS all around and girlie pink cupcakes for dessert (along with FREE Frostys for everyone-compliments of the Managment)... everyone in the place sang Happy Birthday and clapped after Lilley-Kate blew out her candles... she was THRILLED... doesn't take much to make a 6 year old happy!!! Good Friends... YUMMY CHEESEBURGERS... all for our FAVORITE GIRL!!!

(BTW... I actually had the PANCO BREADED FISH SANDWICH... and can I just say YUMMY YUMMY YUMMY!!! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND it!!!)
